Here's what our Yoga students say:"The first yoga class I ever attended was in Illinois in the 1970's. Over the years I have taken classes here and there. Haris Lender’s Integral Yoga class is my favorite by far. I have been attending Haris’ yoga class at Sunken Gardens for almost 3 years. I enthusiastically recommend her classes to both friends and clients.
I have learned so much from Haris regarding many aspects of yoga. I appreciate her knowledge and her openness and ability to communicate. She always treats her students respectfully and reminds us to listen to our own bodies. Haris presents poses in various levels of difficulty and instructs us to go as far as feels right for us. Her class is, therefore, appropriate to all levels of students. There is never the feeling of competition. Her yoga class is a safe, peaceful, loving place.
I have also attended other functions Haris has coordinated, such as satsangs. Everything she puts on is done well. I have been in attendance at one of her children’s story classes too. Wow! Very impressive! Lots of fun!
Haris has high principals, is ethical, trustworthy, compassionate, all around a fine person. Just knowing Haris through yoga has had a profound effect on my life."

"Haris, I wanted to thank you and let you know I've gotten such fantastic feedback regarding your Yoga class. I went to tuck my daughter into bed last night and she was meditating in her secret garden. She also mentioned she originally had puppies in her garden but decided to "remove" them as they were too distracting. I thought..."she is really getting this!" I know all of the kids from our book club had a really good time. One Mom said it was the best book club ever! We're so grateful to have such a great skill introduced to the girls. Thank you, thank you. "

"Thanks so much for the yoga session we did last week. The way I felt after your class was the first time I saw light at the end of the tunnel since my auto accident three months ago."
~ Suzanne, Mom
"I am being induced Nov 30th or Dec. 1st so will not be there after that date. Have greatly enjoyed your [prenatal] classes! They have greatly helped with my middle-of-the-night cramps and in general have made me feel healthier and more flexible. Looking foward to hearing what other classes you will have ...after the baby comes."

"This time that we've been doing Yoga has been great! I show all my friends my favorite poses. I even give my friends "private lessons". My favorite pose is the crow! Thank you for being so patient for all the classes. I've learned soooo much. I even feel like I am getting stronger and more flexible. I love Yoga, I can't even tell you how much! I am positive that I will do Yoga for the rest of my life. You have made a big difference in my life because you taught me how to handle my stress. You also taught me how to be more peaceful and in touch with my inner peace. Another thing you inspired me to do is be more confident in myself and become more inspired to do things I would've never tried in the 1st place. Thank you again for everything! You Rock!!!"

"I have been to many different Yoga classes but none of them compare to Haris's blend of spirituality, position variations and overall good vibe. She is a down-to-earth, gifted instructor and a true believer in the Yogic lifestyle. I highly recommend Yoga with Haris!"

"Haris' Prenatal Yoga class was my first exposure to yoga. She's a wonderful teacher who truly cares about the well being of her students. I recommend this class to all first time mothers-to-be, not only for the health benefits, but also because it's a wonderful opportunity to meet women at various stages of pregnancy. I look forward to participating in Haris' other classes after the birth."
~ Robyn Conmy
"What makes Haris stand out as a Yoga teacher is that she makes Yoga fun. She has a great sense of humor when too many people take it way too seriously. That certainly doesn't mean she doesn't have reverence for her teaching and practice. She just does Yoga with a smile."
~ Susan C.
"Haris is a thoughtful, sensitive and giving teacher. Her class is so warm and personal that one almost feels as if it's just for them. "
~ Shana "Banana" Smith, Children's Entertainer and 15-year yogi
"Haris' soothing voice and real-life yoga applications have taken me from being part of her marketing team to being part of her classes and lectures. I love the way she can teach all levels at once. She was truly born to be a Yoga teacher!"
~ Raffi Darrow, Creative Catalyst, RDesign
"Haris teaches Integral Yoga which embraces the entire science of yoga and includes chanting, pranayama and meditation. Haris' yoga classes are not about the workout, even though you will get whatever level workout you need. She teaches to all levels very skillfully. She is a very safe, fun and knowledgeable instructor. Haris has assisted me on my path of truth and in transforming my life to one (that is) more peaceful, calm and real. Thank you, Haris!"

"Yoga heals, not just one breath at a time, but one superb teacher at a time. Haris helped me achieve superb health and a new Kula (community). Her kirtans are amazing."

" I have been a part of Haris' Integral Yoga Practice at Sunken Gardens for a couple of years. It was when she and I traveled together to India with the integral yoga institute that I fully recognized the extent of her giftedness and the integrity of her teachings. I saw and experienced her powerful understanding, her "doggedness" in pursuing to the fullest extent possible the depth and breadth of Hatha Yoga, and her personal application of the wisdom she has acquired.
In trying, after our return from India, to somehow convey to our Sunken Gardens Yoga Class my enhanced awareness of what we were receiving from Haris, I cried. Thank you, Haris; your teacher Sri Swami Satchidananda; and the guiding masters which offer the gifts from which I and others, including my dear eight year old Charity, so greatly benefit. Namaste. "
